CelebrationCards
The Perfect Invitation for
Your Perfect Event
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?
A. We suggest three to six months prior to your
mailing date for weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.
Q. HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?
A. Since each invitation/announcement is hand-crafted,
creating orders can take approximately four
to six weeks (subject to paper availability).
Please inquire about rush orders at 818.508.1560
or toll-free 877.725.7897, or FAX us at 818.508.3184.
Q. HOW MANY INVITATIONS SHOULD I ORDER?
A. Remember to count ALL of the invitees (couples,
families, etc.). Once we know exactly how many
people you are inviting, we recommend you add
10% to your order as a contingency for people
you may have forgotten, the “B”
list, etc.
Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE A PROOF?
A. After our initial consultation, proofs take
about one to two weeks for you to receive.
Q. DO I GET TO CREATE WHATEVER TYPE OF INVITATION
DESIGN I WANT?
A. Yes, absolutely! Every invitation is expressly
custom-designed for you. Our Creative Director
will walk you through the design process including
size, color, theme, etc. including a special
idea you may have in mind.
Q. DO I GET TO CHOOSE WHAT TYPE OF PAPERS AND
COLORS I WANT?
A. Of course! We have over 2,000 paper selections
to choose from in different colors, textures,
weights, etc. We can mail to you a sample of
the paper(s) you desire for a nominal fee. This
fee is credited in full toward your order. Once
you have chosen the paper(s) you want, we’ll
estimate your final order price. Then we’ll
hand-assemble a sample invitation for you that
is very close to the final product. Note that
if your invitations are to be letterpress or
lithographed, our sample will be flat.
Q. DO I GET TO SEE A SAMPLE BEFORE YOU GO INTO
PRINT AND PRODUCTION?
A. After you make an order deposit, we order
all of your materials. Then we make a final
test sample for your signature approval before
we proceed to complete your order. All wording
must be approved by you before we can send it
to our printer or begin production.
Q. HOW DO I CHOOSE THE WORDING AND TYPE OF
MY INVITATION?
A. We have a complete book of wording and type
that we can FAX or e-mail to you. Also we can
help you create appropriate wording. We typeset
most languages which you’ll need to proof
and approve. For other than English, you’ll
need to provide us with a printout of the wording
you desire in the language you want (ex. Russian,
Hebrew, Japanese, etc.).
Q. HOW DO YOU ESTIMATE YOUR PRICES?
A. All of our prices are estimated as quickly
as possible once you have chosen quantities,
papers, designs, etc. Your order price is quoted
by the unit (that is, an order for an invitation
and RSVP equals ONE unit). Each unit price includes
envelopes with return address and addressed
RSVPs. Additional items are quoted separately
(for instance, Save-the-Date, direction cards,
reception cards, entourage sheets, programs,
menus, table cards, Thank You notes, etc.).
Q. WHAT TYPE OF ENVELOPE ADDRESSING CAN YOU
PROVIDE?
A. We offer hand calligraphy or computer addressing
in any color.
Q. CAN YOU CREATE PROGRAMS, MENUS, MAPS, SAVE
THE DATES, ETC.?
A. CelebrationCards is able to create ALL of
your special needs that are designed to match
your invitations. We can e-mail to you design
examples of any special item.
Q. DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER?
A. While there is no minimum order, we prefer
orders over 50 due to the complexity and cost
involved in hand-crafting each invitation with
unique materials.
